John Deere 2354.05 – VLC / BCU / BLC: Front Outer Flood Lights Circuit Current Low / Front Corner Worklights On, No Current Detected

The control module triggers this code when it detects a current of less than 500 mA at the front corner worklight output while the worklights are activated. This extremely low current indicates an open circuit condition, which is typically caused by a blown bulb, a disconnected wire, or a broken connection/high resistance within the worklight circuit.

   Inspect the front outer flood lights / front corner worklights to verify if the bulbs are burnt out or damaged.

   Trace the lead wire (often lead 1011 or output E09 depending on the model) to check for disconnected wires, broken connections, or corrosion causing high resistance.

   Verify that the fuses and relays associated with the front worklights are functioning properly and are not blown.

   Replace Bulbs

   If a bulb is blown, replace it with a new one.

   Repair Wiring/Connectors

   Reconnect any loose wires. If the connector or wiring harness is damaged or corroded, clean the pins or splice in a replacement connector to restore proper continuity.

   Clear the Code

   Once the physical repair is made, cycle the key switch (turn the tractor off and back on). In many cases, the VLC/BLC will detect the corrected current draw and clear the code automatically.
