John Deere 2360.05 – CLC / BLC: Rear Fender Flood Light Circuit Current Problem

The controller has detected that the amperage draw on the pin for the rear mud guard/fender corner work light is lower than expected when the lights are commanded ON. This condition is almost always caused by an open circuit, such as a blown light bulb, a disconnected wire, or high resistance in a connector.

   Turn on the work lights and visually check the rear fender flood lights to identify which bulb is failing to illuminate.

   Remove the affected light assembly and check the condition of the light bulb filament.

   Inspect the wiring harness connector at the light assembly for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture intrusion.

   Trace the wiring back toward the CLC/BLC to ensure there are no severed wires or chafing along the rear fender harness.

   Turn off the tractor and ensure the work light switch is in the OFF position to cut power to the circuit.

   Disconnect the electrical pigtail connector from the rear fender work light.

   If the bulb is blown, replace the bulb (or the entire sealed beam/LED assembly, depending on your tractor's equipment).

   If the bulb is good but the connector is dirty, clean the terminals with electrical contact cleaner and apply a small amount of dielectric grease to prevent future moisture ingress.

   Reconnect the light assembly.

   Turn the tractor's key to the ON position and activate the work lights.

   Verify the light illuminates. The CLC/BLC should recognize the correct current draw, and the 002360.05 code will move to a stored/inactive state or clear entirely.
