002368.03

John Deere 002368.03 – FCC: Left Turn Signal High Voltage

Issue description

The system has detected an abnormally high voltage in the electrical circuit for the left turn signal. This fault is logged against the Front Console Control (FCC) module, which processes signals from operator controls like the turn signal lever. A high voltage condition can be caused by a short circuit to a power source or an internal failure within the module's circuitry.

Applies to these machines

  • 6110M
  • 6120M
  • 6130M
  • 6145M
  • 6155M
  • 6175M
  • 6195M

Check the cause

  1. Confirm the 002368.03 fault code is active on the tractor's display

  2. Check for other active fault codes related to the FCC module or other electrical systems to pinpoint a broader issue

  3. Perform a thorough visual inspection of the left turn signal lamp housing, lens, and any visible wiring for signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections

Repair steps

  1. Check the left turn signal bulb

Remove the lens cover and gently push and turn the bulb to remove it from the socket. Inspect the filament for breakage. Even if intact, test with a known good bulb to rule out an intermittent internal fault.

  2. Inspect bulb socket and connector

Check the electrical contacts within the socket for corrosion, dirt, or damage and clean as needed. Ensure the wiring connector at the back of the turn signal housing is securely connected with no pushed-out pins.

  3. Test turn signal circuit wiring

Using a multimeter and the specific 6M wiring diagram, check for continuity and shorts in the wiring harness between the FCC module and the left turn signal light. Inspect the harness for chafing, pinching, or heat damage that could cause a short to a power wire.

  4. Test the turn signal switch

Perform a Turn Signal Switch Circuit Test using a multimeter to check the switch's internal contacts. Ensure it is sending the correct signal to the FCC module when activated. Replace the switch if faulty.

  5. Investigate the FCC module

If the bulb, socket, wiring, and switch test correctly, the high voltage condition may indicate an internal circuitry failure within the FCC module. Use John Deere Service ADVISOR to run internal tests and replace the module if determined to be the cause.
