Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the right turn signal light bulb(s) to see if the filament is broken or burnt out

  2. Cycle the key switch or tractor power to see if a temporary voltage glitch clears the code

  3. Check the right turn signal circuit wiring for open circuits, breaks, or shorts to the battery

  4. Check the implement harness connections and fuses, especially if towing an implement

Repair steps

  1. Replace the Bulb

Access the right turn signal housing and remove the bulb. If it is burnt out, install a new bulb.

  2. Clear the Code

Turn the machine's key switch off, then back on to cycle the power. Check the CommandCenter display to see if the 002370.05 code has cleared.

  3. Inspect the Wiring Harness

If the code still exists after replacing the bulb, trace the wiring harness for the right turn signal. Look for chafed wires, disconnected plugs, or corrosion at the sockets that could cause an open circuit or a short to power. Repair any damaged wiring.

  4. Dealer Module Repair

If the bulb is good, the wiring is intact, and the code persists after cycling the power, the fault likely lies within the control module (CLC, RLC, or ICC). Have a John Deere dealer repair the module at the earliest convenience.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • Right Turn Signal Bulb

    AM133169

Amber Turn Signal Bulb. Fitment varies by exact model; standard 12V automotive bulbs (like 1156 or 3156) are often used depending on the housing.

  • Wiring Harness

Specific OEM part number depends entirely on the machine model and chassis serial number.

  • Cab Load Center (CLC) / Roof Lighting Control Unit (RLC)

Specific OEM part number requires dealer lookup based on the machine's exact configuration.
