2370.06

John Deere 2370.06 – CLC (Cab Load Center) or ICC (Instrument Cluster Control): Right Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Problem (Current High / Overcurrent Detected)

Issue description

The control unit has detected that the current draw on the right turn signal circuit (located on the fenders or roof) exceeds the nominal capacity of the circuit's 7-amp fuse.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the condition of the right turn signal light bulb, as a failing bulb can sometimes short internally and cause a high-current draw.

  2. Remove all operator-customized accessories (such as aftermarket flood lights, hazard lights, or window wipers) spliced into the lighting circuits, as these can overload the CLC and trigger overcurrent codes.

  3. Restart the engine/tractor to verify if the active Diagnostic Trouble Code reappears to see if the code can be corrected simply by resetting the communication messages during a restart.

Repair steps

  1. Access the Right Turn Signal Assembly

Locate the right turn signal housing on the fender or cab roof.

  2. Replace the Bulb

Remove the lens cover and replace the right turn signal bulb with a known good OEM-spec bulb.

  3. Inspect the Wiring Harness

If the bulb is not the issue, trace the wiring harness from the right turn signal back to the Cab Load Center (CLC). Look for chafed wires, melted insulation, or pinched harnesses that are shorting to the chassis ground, causing the current to spike above the 7A threshold.

  4. Clear Codes and Test

Turn the key switch on and test the right turn signal. If the code clears, the repair is successful.

  5. Dealer Intervention

If the wiring is intact, the bulb is new, and the code still exists, the CLC module itself may have an internal short or failure. OEM documentation states that if the code persists after basic checks, you must have a John Deere dealer repair the system.
