John Deere 2382.05 – RLC / BLC: Clearance Lights on Cab Frame, Current Too Low

The control software registers that the electrical current at the output to the cab frame clearance lights is below the expected threshold, indicating an open circuit most commonly caused by a burnt-out bulb, a broken wire, or a disconnected/loose connector.

   Visually inspect the front clearance/marker lights on the cab roof frame to see if the bulbs are burnt out.

   Check the wiring and connectors associated with the clearance lights on the cab frame for signs of open circuits, chafing, or physical damage.

   Look for disconnected, corroded, or loose connections at the bulb sockets and the RLC module harness.

   Verify the power supply to the clearance lights is stable and test the circuit with a multimeter to ensure proper voltage and current draw.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and remove the key to ensure the circuit is unpowered.

   Replace Faulty Bulbs

   If a bulb is burnt out, remove the clearance light lens on the cab roof and replace the bulb.

   Repair Wiring/Connectors

   If the bulbs are good, trace the wiring harness from the clearance lights back to the RLC module. Reconnect any loose plugs. If a wire is broken or a connector is heavily corroded, splice in a repair wire or replace the connector pigtail.

   Clear the Code

   After replacing the bulb or repairing the wire, turn the key switch on. Many RLC codes can be cleared simply by cycling the key switch or by following the on-screen solution on the CommandCenter display, then cycling tractor power.

   Test Operation

   Turn on the lighting system to verify the clearance lights illuminate and that the 002382.05 code does not return.
