   Gain Access

   Shut down the engine, allow it to cool, and locate the EGR valve, EGR cooler, and EGR Delta Pressure Sensor on the intake/exhaust manifold assembly.

   Clean the System

   Remove the EGR flow venturi and EGR cooler. Inspect them for heavy soot accumulation. Clean the components thoroughly to restore accurate flow measurement.

   Replace the EGR Valve

   If the EGR valve shaft is broken, or if the valve fails to actuate smoothly during a diagnostic test, remove the mounting hardware and replace the EGR valve assembly.

   Replace the EGR Delta Pressure Sensor

   If the sensor is clogged with soot or failed electrical testing, replace it with a new OEM sensor.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall all components, ensuring all gaskets are new and properly seated to prevent exhaust leaks.

   Recalibrate and Clear Codes
