Check the cause
Restart the tractor's engine to perform a system reset, as the code can sometimes be triggered by a transient communication message error.
Press the select switch on the CommandCenter to acknowledge and clear the code. If it returns immediately, a hard fault exists.
Test the turn signal lever for proper mechanical detent operation in the left, right, and neutral positions.
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the turn signal switch and the CAB/ICC module for loose pins, corrosion, or chafed wires causing a short or open circuit.
Verify the cab and operator control fuses to ensure the turn signal switch is receiving proper supply voltage.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Switch
Remove the steering column covers or dashboard trim panels to expose the turn signal switch assembly.
Disconnect Wiring
Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the back of the turn signal switch.
Remove the Switch
Remove the mounting screws or retaining clips holding the turn signal switch to the steering column.
Install New Part
Mount the new OEM replacement switch and secure it with the retaining hardware.
Reconnect
Plug the electrical harness back into the switch, ensuring the connector clicks into place.
Reassemble
Reinstall the steering column covers and trim panels.
Restore Power & Test
Reconnect the battery negative cable. Start the tractor, test the left and right turn signals, and verify that fault code 002876.02 does not return.
