John Deere 3032.13 – OIC / XMB: Right Brake Pedal Position Sensor, Not Calibrated
Issue description
This error code indicates that the right brake pedal sensor has lost its calibration parameters. This commonly occurs after reprogramming the control software, after a battery disconnect, or if the sensor's voltage output drifts out of its learned baseline. When this code is active, the control software may function in a limited capacity or disable certain braking/transmission functions as a safety precaution.

Check the cause
Ensure the right brake pedal is functioning correctly, returns fully to its resting position, and is not stuck or mechanically hindered by debris in the cab.
Inspect the right brake pedal sensor unit and its wiring harness for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage output of the brake pedal sensor. Ensure the sensor is providing a smooth, linear voltage reading within the valid range (typically 1.1 to 2.0 volts depending on pedal position) without dropouts.
Check if the tractor's control software was recently updated or flashed, as this is a primary trigger for the code.
Repair steps
Calibrate the Sensor
Access the tractor's diagnostic monitor (CommandCenter display) and navigate to the calibration menu for the brakes/transmission.
Execute Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts or the specific procedure outlined in the John Deere Service Manual (e.g., TM119019 or TM146419) to calibrate the right brake pedal sensor. This usually involves leaving the pedal at rest, then depressing it fully when prompted to set the minimum and maximum voltage thresholds.
Verify Calibration
Ensure the calibration process completes successfully. Cycle the key power and monitor the system to ensure the error code changes from "Active" to "Stored".
Update Firmware
If the calibration fails to hold, ensure the OIC/XMB control software is updated to the latest version, as John Deere firmware updates often improve calibration handling and prevent false errors.
Replace Sensor
If the sensor fails the multimeter sweep test or refuses to accept calibration, replace the sensor and perform the calibration procedure again.
