   Check the physical condition of the air throttle actuator, its sensors, and the wiring harness for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion that could impair signal detection.

   Connect John Deere Service Advisor and run a 'Harness Diagnostic Mode' test to sweep all of the engine's actuators and solenoids with the key ON and the engine OFF.

   Remove the air throttle from the intake manifold but keep the electrical actuator connected. Run the diagnostic sweep test again to visually observe the butterfly valve. If the actuator motor runs but the valve does not move, the internal shaft has snapped and the unit must be replaced.

   Remove the intake manifold orifice cover and the air inlet pipe to access the throttle assembly.

   Ensure the machine is turned off, pressure is relieved from all lines, and the battery is disconnected before beginning.

   Unbolt and slide the old throttle actuator off of its mounting studs.

   Crucial orientation step: Ensure the arrow mark on the actuator points toward the intake manifold, and the electrical connector is oriented outward.
