John Deere 516122.05 – SCO (Front Chassis Module): SCV 10 Valve Low Amp Draw / Front Hitch Single Acting Valve Circuit Fault
Issue description
The controller has detected that the electrical current (amperage) flowing through the circuit for Selective Control Valve (SCV) 10—which operates the front hitch single-acting function—is lower than the expected threshold. A "low amp draw" typically indicates an open circuit, a disconnected plug, a broken wire, corroded terminals, or a failed (open) solenoid coil on the valve itself.

Check the cause
Locate the SCV 10 / Front Hitch Single Acting Valve on the front chassis valve block. Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector for physical damage, pulled wires, or severe corrosion.
Ensure the connector is fully seated and locked onto the solenoid.
Disconnect the harness from the SCV 10 solenoid. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance (Ohms) across the solenoid coil pins. An infinite reading (OL) indicates an internally broken/open coil.
If the coil tests good, check the continuity of the wiring harness from the valve connector back to the SCO (Front Chassis Module) to rule out a broken wire.
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve stem.
Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve stem. (Note: You usually do not need to open the hydraulic system to replace just the electrical coil).
Slide the new OEM solenoid coil onto the stem and secure it with the retaining nut/clip.

Parts you might need
(2)SCV 10 Solenoid Coil / Front Hitch Single Acting Valve Solenoid
Always provide your machine's specific PIN/Serial Number to the John Deere parts counter to ensure you get the correct solenoid coil for your specific front hitch valve block.
Front Chassis Module (SCO)
Only required if the harness and valve test perfectly, indicating an internal failure of the module's driver circuit.
