High amperage draw or grounded circuit on the valve's electrical line, meaning the controller is detecting more current than expected, typically due to a short circuit or a failing solenoid.

   Trace the wiring harness from the Front Chassis Module (SCO) to the SCV 10 / Front Hitch valve. Look for chafed wires, melted insulation, or pinch points where the wire might be shorting to the tractor's chassis (ground).

   Disconnect the plug at the SCV 10 valve. Inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or bent terminals that could bridge the circuit.

   Using a multimeter, measure the resistance across the pins of the SCV 10 valve solenoid. A reading of zero or near-zero ohms indicates an internal short inside the solenoid coil.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.

   Isolate the Fault

   If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the broken/shorted section using OEM-approved weather-sealed splices, or replace the harness section if the damage is extensive.

   Replace the Valve Solenoid

   If the diagnostic tests point to an internally shorted solenoid coil on the front hitch valve, remove the retaining nut on the SCV 10 valve block and slide the old solenoid off the valve stem.

   Install New Part

   Slide the new solenoid onto the valve stem, secure the retaining nut, and plug in the electrical connector.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, clear the 516122.06 fault code via the cab monitor, and actuate the front hitch/SCV 10 to verify the high amp draw condition has been resolved.
