Issue description

Check the cause

  1. Verify the tractor's overall system voltage is within normal operating range (12V-14V) to rule out a weak battery or alternator.

  2. Visually inspect the wiring harness running from the Front Chassis Module (SCO) to the front hitch actuator or SCV 10 valve for chafing, pinched wires, or rodent damage.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the SCV 10 valve or front hitch actuator and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture ingress, or pushed-out terminals.

  4. Turn the key to the ON position, command the valve/hitch, and use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the connector to check for wiring harness or SCO module issues.

  5. Measure the resistance across the pins of the SCV valve coil or hitch actuator to check for an internal short or open circuit.
