   Locate the SCV 5 valve block at the rear hydraulic stack and visually inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector for physical damage, pinched wires, or accumulated debris.

   Perform a swap test (cross-plugging) by swapping the electrical connector from SCV 5 with the connector for an adjacent, known-good valve (e.g., SCV 4). If the fault code changes to SCV 4, the tractor's wiring harness or SCC module is at fault. If the fault code remains on SCV 5, the electronic control head/temperature sensor on the SCV 5 valve itself has failed.

   Turn off the tractor engine. Turn the key to the ON position (engine off) and move the SCV levers/joystick through all positions to relieve residual hydraulic pressure. Turn the key off.
