Check the cause
Manually put the Rear Hitch Lock Switch into the Center or un-pressed position to attempt an immediate system recovery.
Turn the tractor's key switch off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on to cycle tractor power.
Follow any specific on-screen solutions provided on the CommandCenter display page, then cycle the tractor power again.
Repair steps
Visual Inspection
Inspect the Rear Hitch Lock Switch on the armrest for physical damage, sticky residue, or debris that might be causing the button to physically stick in the pressed position.
Wiring and Connection Check
Access the Armrest Hitch Controls Module. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the module for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins.
Circuit Testing
Conduct electrical tests on the Armrest Hitch Controls Module circuit to ensure signal pathways are continuous and free from shorts or disruptions.
Component Replacement
If the wiring is intact but the switch fails to send the correct voltage/signal (or is internally shorted), replace the defective switch or the entire Armrest Hitch Controls Module.
Post-Repair Verification
After replacing the faulty component, turn on the tractor, clear the stored codes, and test the rear hitch transport lock button to ensure the CommandCenter registers the input without throwing a code.
