   Inspect the Switch

   Check the Rear Hitch Lock / Dampening button on the armrest for physical impairments, mechanical sticking, or debris that might be holding the button in a pressed state.

   Access the A057 Armrest Hitch Controls Module. Conduct detailed electrical tests on the wiring harness connecting the switch to the AIC to ensure signal pathways are continuous.

   Check for Shorts

   Since the code specifies "Voltage High," specifically test the circuit for a short to power.

   Repair Wiring

   Repair or replace any pinched, frayed, or faulty wiring and ensure all electrical connector pins are securely seated and free of corrosion.

   If the wiring is intact and the voltage remains high, the internal circuitry of the switch or the Armrest Hitch Controls Module itself has failed and must be replaced.
