   Disconnect the implement from the tractor's rear ISO BUS socket, clear the codes, and cycle the key. If the code does not return, the high-voltage short or back-feed is located on the implement side.

   Check the tractor's ISO BUS receptacle for dirt, moisture, corrosion, or bent/melted pins that could be bridging a high-current power pin to the module supply line.

   Locate and test the Implement Electronic Control Unit Power Relay to see if the internal contacts are stuck closed or if it is receiving improper voltage on the control side.

   Using a multimeter, probe the wiring harness between the CLC/BLC and the ISO BUS socket to check for a short to battery voltage (B+).

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable before servicing the electrical system.

   Clean/Replace the Socket

   If the ISO BUS socket at the rear of the tractor is heavily corroded or internally shorted, unbolt the socket, disconnect the harness connector, and install a new ISO BUS receptacle.

   Replace the Relay

   If the diagnostic tests point to a stuck Implement ECU Power Relay, remove the faulty relay from the fuse/relay panel and install a replacement.

   Repair Harness

   If a short-to-power was found in the wiring harness between the Cab Load Center and the rear socket, trace the harness along the chassis. Locate the chafed or melted section, splice in new wire using weather-sealed connectors, and re-loom the harness.

   Verify Repair

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and verify that code 520491.03 changes to a 'stored' or 'inactive' state. Clear the code via the tractor's diagnostic monitor.
