Issue description

The control unit is receiving conflicting electrical signals from the switch. Specifically, the ON contact and the OFF contact are showing the exact same value for Range Switch B (or the e23 drive lever). Because the system cannot determine the true position of the lever/switch, it defaults to a safety mode and commands the transmission into PARK (PARK Position Recoverable).

Check the cause

Repair steps

  3. Test the Switch

    If the AIC unit is replaced, it may require programming/calibration by a John Deere dealer using Service ADVISOR. Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and verify the fault code has cleared.
