John Deere 521136.08 – Armrest Interface Control Unit (AIC): CommandQuad™ Range Switch A Fault / e23™/16 Speed PST Drive Lever Fault

The system detects that Range Switch A (or the drive lever) is stuck or reading as continuously pressed. When this fault is active, the transmission controller will automatically command the tractor into PARK (PARK Position Recoverable) to prevent unintended movement.

   Inspect Range Switch A (or the drive lever) on the armrest for physical binding, dirt, or debris that might be holding the button down.

   Manually set the switch/lever to the unpressed (neutral/released) position to attempt system recovery.

   Turn the tractor's ignition off, wait a moment, and turn it back on to see if the fault clears.

   Disconnect battery power to the tractor.

   Disassemble the armrest control console to access the transmission controls.

   Depending on the specific tractor configuration and transmission (CommandQuad vs. e23), you will need to replace either the Transmission Lever Control Module or the entire Armrest Interface Control Unit (AIC).

   Reassemble the armrest console.

   Reconnect the battery and turn the key on.

   The new module may require configuration and calibration via the tractor's diagnostic display (Device ID Address AIC 000).
