John Deere 521163.02 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): Stereo Track Increase Button Fault

   Check the 'Next Track' button on the CommandARM for sticky residue, dirt, or debris that might be physically holding the button down. Clean the keypad carefully.

   Perform a power cycle by turning the ignition switch OFF, waiting a few moments, and turning it back ON to reset the module.

   Check the CommandCenter display for any specific on-screen solutions. Perform the suggested action, then cycle the ignition switch.

   As a temporary workaround, use the controls directly on the radio head unit or touchscreen so operation can continue.

   Prepare machine for repair

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical damage.

   Remove console trim

   Remove the retaining screws and plastic trim pieces surrounding the CommandARM console to access the switch modules.

   Remove old module

   Carefully lift the Cab Switch Module (CSM) from the armrest.

   Disconnect wiring

   Disconnect the CAN bus and power wiring harness connectors from the bottom of the CSM.

   Connect new module

   Connect the wiring harnesses to the new Cab Switch Module.

   Install new module

   Seat the new module into the CommandARM and secure it with the mounting hardware and trim.

   Restore power

   Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition ON.

   Calibrate and test

   Depending on the tractor's software version, a John Deere dealer may need to connect Service ADVISOR to calibrate the new CSM or clear the historical codes. Test the radio track increase button to ensure functionality.
