Check the cause
Press the HVAC Temperature Increase button a few times to see if it is physically stuck and to attempt a system recovery.
Turn the tractor's ignition switch OFF, wait a few moments, and turn it back ON to reset the module.
Inspect the edges of the button on the CommandARM for dirt, dust, or spilled liquids (like coffee or soda) that could cause the contact pad to stick closed.
Repair steps
Clean the Button
If the button feels sticky, power down the tractor and carefully clean around the edges of the button using a plastic-safe electronic contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Actuate the button repeatedly to work the cleaner in and free any sticky residue. Allow it to dry completely and retest.
Module Replacement Preparation
If cleaning fails, the Cab Switch Module must be repaired or replaced. Disconnect the tractor's batteries to prevent electrical shorts.
Remove the CSM
Remove the trim panels and retaining screws on the CommandARM console to access the Cab Switch Module.
Disconnect Harnesses
Carefully disconnect the electrical wiring harnesses from the bottom of the CSM.
Install New Module
Seat the new or repaired CSM into the CommandARM and reconnect the wiring harnesses.
Reassemble and Calibrate
Reinstall the console trim and reconnect the batteries. Note: If installing a brand-new CSM, the module will likely require configuration and calibration using John Deere Service ADVISOR software to match the tractor's specific options (e.g., transmission type, SCV count, lighting packages).
Parts you might need
