   Verify that you are using the correct, programmed vehicle key, as an unrecognized or damaged immobilizer chip can trigger this fault

   Perform a power cycle by turning the key switch off, waiting a few moments, and restarting the engine to attempt a module reboot

   Verify battery voltage and inspect the wiring harness connections to the EIC/Instrument Cluster, as low voltage during boot-up can cause memory read errors

   Cycle Tractor Power

   Cycle the key switch to attempt to clear a temporary software glitch.

   Software Update

   If the code is active and will not clear, connect John Deere Service ADVISOR to the machine's diagnostic port. Check for available software payloads for the EIC module and re-flash/update the controller software.

   Module Replacement

   If the software update fails, or if the diagnostic tool indicates that the EIC memory is permanently invalid/corrupted, the EIC module (Instrument Cluster) must be physically replaced.

   Reprogramming

   Install the new Instrument Cluster. Use Service ADVISOR to program the new module to the tractor's configuration and pair the immobilizer keys to the new unit.
