Check the cause

  1. Inspect the LIN Bus 1 network wiring harness inside the armrest console for chafing, pinches, or breaks

  2. Inspect the electrical connectors at the AIC unit, the Hand Throttle Unit, and the Rear Hitch/SCV 1 switch for loose pins, corrosion, or moisture intrusion

  3. Ensure the transmitting LIN Bus modules on the LIN Bus 1 circuit are receiving proper operating voltage and have a clean ground

  4. If wiring continuity tests good, isolate the fault to the Hand Throttle Unit or the Rear Hitch/SCV 1 switch module

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during disassembly.

  2. Access the Armrest Components

Carefully remove the trim panels on the CommandARM™ console to expose the Armrest Interface Control (AIC) unit and the control modules.

  3. Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring on the LIN Bus 1 circuit, repair or replace the affected harness section.

  4. Replace the Faulty Module

If the wiring is intact, disconnect the harness from the faulty Hand Throttle Assembly or SCV/Rear Hitch switch module. Remove the mounting screws and extract the module.

  5. Install the New Part

Seat the replacement module into the armrest console, secure it with the mounting hardware, and plug in the electrical connector.

  6. Reassemble and Test

Reinstall the armrest trim panels. Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use the CommandCenter™ display or a diagnostic tool to clear the AIC 521274.09 code. Test the hand throttle and rear hitch functions to verify the repair.
