There is a conflict or out-of-range signal coming from the Selective Control Valve (SCV) control lever in the cab. The system detects that the signal voltage from the SCV lever's internal potentiometer is outside the specified operating range, or there is a mismatch between the physical detent switch status and the potentiometer's signal voltage.

   Examine the SCV control lever, detent switch, and potentiometer on the CommandARM for any signs of physical damage, excessive wear, or improper alignment.

   Inspect the electrical connections and wiring harness beneath the SCV switch. Look for loose pins, corrosion, or damaged wires that could cause an open or short circuit.

   Utilize a John Deere diagnostic tool (Service ADVISOR) to monitor the potentiometer's signal voltage live. Move the lever through its full range of motion to ensure the sensor is providing smooth, accurate readings without dropping out.

   First, attempt to recalibrate the SCV control lever through the tractor's CommandCenter display or diagnostic software. Sometimes, a simple recalibration can resolve sensor drift.
