   Inspect the wiring harness and connector leading to the rear hitch load depth encoder/position sensor for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

   Verify the mechanical linkage connecting the hitch mechanism to the rotary encoder. Ensure the linkage is not bent, disconnected, or jammed, which prevents the sensor from reading the increase movement properly.

   Lower the rear hitch

   Lower the rear hitch completely to the ground to relieve all hydraulic pressure and mechanical tension.
