521536.05

John Deere 521536.05 – Cab Roof Module (RLC): Left Worklight on Cab Frame or Left Xenon (HID) Worklight on Cab Frame, Current Too Low

Issue description

The system detects that the amperage draw is lower than expected when the light is switched on. This condition is typically caused by a blown bulb, an open circuit, a disconnected plug, or high resistance in a connector.

Applies to these machines

  • 6110R
  • 6120R
  • 6130R
  • 6145R
  • 6155R
  • 6175R
  • 6195R
  • 6215R

Check the cause

  1. Check the left worklight on the cab frame (or grab rail) to see if the bulb is blown or if the LED array has failed

  2. Inspect the specific connector for the left worklight (X162F-1 for standard worklights or X866F for Xenon/HID worklights) for corrosion, loose pins, or moisture

  3. Test the wiring harness between the RLC module and the worklight for continuity, open circuits, or a short circuit to ground

Repair steps

  1. Ensure the tractor is turned off and the key is removed.

  2. Disconnect the wiring harness plug at the left cab frame worklight.

  3. If the connector is corroded or damaged, clean the terminals with electrical contact cleaner or replace the connector pigtail.

  4. If the wiring and connector are in good condition, replace the blown bulb or the entire sealed LED worklight assembly.

  5. Reconnect the worklight and turn the key switch on.

  6. Cycle the key switch (turn off, then back on) or follow the solution prompt on the CommandCenter™ display to clear the code.

  7. If the code persists after cycling the power, the issue may lie deeper in the RLC module or harness, and you should contact your John Deere dealer.
