John Deere 521555.05 – RLC (Cab Roof Module / Roof Lighting Controller): Front Roof Warning (North America Only) or Front Corner Roof Light (Europe Only) Right Current Low.

The system has detected a "Current Low" condition on the right front roof light circuit. This typically indicates an open circuit, which is most commonly caused by a burnt-out bulb, a failed LED, a disconnected plug, or a broken wire in the harness.

   Turn on the work lights/warning lights and visually inspect the front right outer roof light. If it is completely dead, the bulb or LED assembly has likely failed.

   Access the wiring behind the right front roof light. Check the connector for loose pins, moisture intrusion, or corrosion.

   Disconnect the light and use a multimeter to check for voltage at the connector when the light switch is activated. If voltage is present but the light doesn't illuminate, the light assembly is faulty.

   If no voltage is present at the connector, trace the wiring harness back to the RLC (Cab Roof Module) to check for an open circuit or broken wire.

   If the wiring is intact and the light is functional (tested on a 12V source), test the output pin directly at the RLC module. If the module is not sending power, the RLC itself may be faulty.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and turn off the battery disconnect switch to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Light

   Safely access the front right corner of the cab roof. Remove the retaining screws or bezel holding the outer work light / warning light in place.

   Replace the Light (If Faulty)

   Disconnect the plug-and-play wiring harness. Plug the new OEM LED or halogen light assembly into the harness.

   Repair Wiring (If Faulty)

   If the diagnostic tests pointed to a wiring issue, splice and heat-shrink any broken wires, or use contact cleaner on corroded connector pins. Ensure the ground connection is secure.

   Reassemble and Test

   Mount the light back into the roof bezel. Restore battery power, turn the key on, and activate the roof lights.

   Clear Codes

   Cycle the key switch or use the CommandCenter™ display to clear the stored 521555.05 fault code.
