   Check for accompanying codes related to the Main Control Module (RPT) or OIC, as a cascading CAN failure will often throw multiple codes.

   Inspect the main CAN bus harness (twisted pair of blue, yellow, and green wires) routing between the Cab Module (OIC) and the Front Chassis Module (PTF) for chafing, corrosion at connectors, or open/short circuits.

   Verify the overall integrity of the control system's power supply and grounding, as intermittent voltage drops can cause the OIC module's internal software to crash.

   Perform a hard reset of the control module to clear the error. If the code returns immediately upon startup, it may indicate an end-of-line memory (EEPROM) check failure within the OIC software.

   Harness Repair

   If the diagnostic tests reveal high resistance, a short to ground, or a short to power on the CAN bus lines between the cab and the front chassis, repair or replace the damaged section of the wiring harness.

   Software Update (Flash)

   Connect the John Deere Service Advisor tool to check the current software version of the OIC module. Flash the module with the latest software update to resolve internal logic errors.

   Module Replacement

   If the wiring is intact and the OIC module will not accept a software update (or if the internal EEPROM has physically failed), the OIC Cab Module or the PTF Front Chassis Module must be replaced and reprogrammed to the tractor's specific configuration.
