Issue description
The system has detected incorrect switch logic, specifically that all three input signals of the iTEC sequence 3/4 switch are reading high. This is typically caused by a short to power or an internally defective switch, resulting in limited or no iTEC functionality.

Check the cause
Check for other AIC codes (such as CAN Bus voltage codes) that might indicate a broader module failure rather than an isolated switch issue
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the iTEC switch to the Armrest Interface Control Unit (AIC) for pinched wires, chafing, or exposed copper
Use a multimeter to probe the iTEC Sequence 3/4 switch circuits to confirm if the voltage is abnormally high
Use John Deere Service ADVISOR or a compatible diagnostic tool to monitor live data and check if the switch status remains stuck in a 'High' state when pressed
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery to ensure safety and prevent electrical spikes while working on the CommandArm/AIC components.
Access the Armrest Console
Carefully remove the trim and access panels on the CommandArm console to expose the Armrest Switch Matrix and the iTEC buttons.
Inspect and Isolate
Disconnect the wiring harness directly at the iTEC switch or the Armrest Switch Matrix.
Repair Wiring (If Applicable)
If your diagnostic checks revealed a short to power in the harness between the switch and the AIC module, repair or replace the damaged section of the wiring harness.
Replace the Switch/Module
If the wiring is intact and the switch itself is internally shorted, replace the iTEC switch. Depending on the specific tractor model, the iTEC buttons may be a standalone switch kit or integrated directly into the Armrest Switch Matrix / Cab Switch Module.
Reassembly and Testing
Reconnect the harnesses, reassemble the armrest console, and reconnect the battery.
Clear Codes
Turn the key on, clear the stored 522189.03 fault code, and test the iTEC headland management sequences 3 and 4 to ensure the code does not return.
