Check the cause
Check the iTEC 3/4 switch on the armrest to see if it is physically stuck, jammed by debris, or pressed down.
Manually set the switch to the un-pressed (neutral) position.
Turn the tractor's key switch off, wait a moment, and restart the engine to cycle the power and attempt a system recovery.
Repair steps
Clean the Switch Area
Turn off the tractor. Clean around the iTEC switch on the armrest to ensure no dirt, spilled liquids, or debris are holding the button down.
Test Switch Actuation
Press and release the switch to verify if it springs back freely. If it feels mechanically broken or fails to return to the neutral position, the switch has failed internally.
Replace the Switch/Module
If the switch is available as a separate kit (like the iTEC 3/4 Switch Kit), remove the armrest trim, disconnect the faulty switch harness, and install the replacement switch. If the switch is integrated into the larger control module and cannot be serviced independently, you will need to replace the Armrest Base Control Module or the specific Engine Speed/iTEC control cluster.
Final Verification
Turn the tractor on and verify that the AIC 522189.11 code has moved to "Stored" or cleared entirely, and test the headland management system for proper operation.
