   Locate the rear window defroster relay in the cab load center and test if it is stuck closed or internally shorted

   Trace the wiring from the RLC to the rear window heater grid, looking for chafed, pinched, or melted wire insulation shorting to ground

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 522343.06 fault code. Turn on the rear window defroster to verify the current draw is normal.
