   Inspect the 2-pin plug and wiring harness for the K1 (or C1) solenoid valve on the transmission control valve block for physical damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Perform a solenoid resistance test by disconnecting the K1 solenoid and measuring resistance across the coil pins. An infinite (OL) reading indicates an internally open coil.

   Test circuit and harness continuity for the power and ground wires from the solenoid connector back to the transmission module to rule out a broken wire.

   Preparation

   Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine, and relieve any residual hydraulic pressure.

   Access the Valve Block

   Locate the transmission control valve block (usually located on the side or top of the transmission housing, depending on the model).

   Remove the Faulty Solenoid

   Disconnect the 2-pin electrical connector from the K1/C1 clutch proportional solenoid valve. Clean the area around the valve to prevent debris from entering the transmission. Unbolt and carefully remove the solenoid valve from the manifold.

   Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid valve with clean transmission fluid. Insert the new solenoid into the valve block and torque the retaining bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect and Reassemble

   Reconnect the 2-pin electrical connector. Ensure the wiring harness is secured and not rubbing against any sharp edges or hot components.

   Calibration and Testing

   Clear the 522399.05 fault code using a diagnostic tool. Start the machine, check for leaks, and perform a transmission clutch calibration procedure (if required by the specific model's service manual) to ensure the PTA module learns the new solenoid's engagement characteristics.
