John Deere 522431.11 – Cab Module (TIA / UIC): Cab Module (TIA) Internal Issue / Control Unit Internal Fault

   Check for associated active error codes related to CAN BUS communication or voltage spikes, which could trigger a false internal fault

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the Cab Module (TIA/UIC) to ensure it is not connected to the wrong harness and that there is no corrosion, moisture, or bent pins

   Utilize a John Deere diagnostic tool to run interactive tests and calibrations for the electronic control units as specified in the technical manual

   Power down and disconnect battery

   Power down the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate module

   Locate the Cab Module (TIA / UIC) within the cab console/roof area.

   Inspect and clean connectors

   Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the module. Inspect the pins and clean them with contact cleaner if necessary.

   Reconnect and clear codes

   Reconnect the module, reconnect the battery, and clear the fault codes using a diagnostic tool.

   Test systems

   Cycle the ignition and test the tractor's systems.

   Remove defective module

   If code 522431.11 returns, the internal hardware of the module has failed and cannot be serviced. Remove the defective module.

   Install replacement module

   Install the replacement Cab Module (TIA / UIC).

   Program and calibrate

   Program and calibrate the new module to the tractor using John Deere Service ADVISOR, as a blank or new module requires configuration to communicate with the rest of the machine's CAN BUS network.
