The system detects that the ON contact and OFF contact are showing the same value for the ECO push button on the hand throttle unit. Because the system cannot determine the true state of the switch, the ECO speed memory function is disabled (OFF).

   Cycle the tractor's key switch to see if the code clears, as temporary voltage or communication glitches can sometimes trigger AIC codes.

   Inspect the physical condition of the ECO push button on the Armrest Engine Speed Control Module for sticking, debris, or damage.

   Use a diagnostic tool to monitor the live data for the ECO push button. Verify if the ON contact and OFF contact are simultaneously reading the same value.

   Check the LIN Bus communication and wiring harness connections between the Armrest Engine Speed Control Module and the main Armrest Interface Control Unit (AIC) for shorts, corrosion, or low voltage (below 0.5 volts).

   Prepare machine

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Disassemble console

   Disassemble the CommandARM™ console to access the internal modules.

   Locate module

   Locate the Armrest Engine Speed Control Module (also referred to as the Throttle Control Module).

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness connected to the module.

   Remove faulty module

   Remove the mounting hardware securing the Engine Speed Control Module and remove the faulty unit. (Note: The ECO button is typically integrated into this module, requiring the replacement of the module itself if the internal switch contacts have failed).

   Install new module

   Install the new Armrest Engine Speed Control Module and secure the mounting hardware.

   Reassemble console

   Reconnect the electrical harness and reassemble the CommandARM™ console.

   Test and clear codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key switch on, and clear the stored diagnostic trouble codes. Test the ECO button to ensure the fault does not return.
