Check the cause
Inspect the manual Diff Lock button on the CommandARM (and the floor switch, if equipped) to ensure it is not physically jammed by dirt, spilled liquids, or debris.
Power cycle the tractor by shutting down the engine and cycling the key switch to see if the code clears, as it can sometimes be triggered by temporary communication glitches.
Verify the tractor's electrical system voltage and check the CSM fuses. Low voltage to the CSM can cause erratic switch behavior.
Access the CommandCenter display and navigate to the CSM software addresses (CSM 020 or CSM 075) to check if the module is actively registering a stuck button press.
Check the wiring harness and connectors beneath the CommandARM for loose pins, chafing, or corrosion.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and engage the ground-level master electrical disconnect switch (or disconnect the battery) to prevent short circuits.
Remove Trim
Carefully pry up and remove the plastic trim panels surrounding the CommandARM console to expose the Cab Switch Module.
Disconnect Harnesses
Unplug the CAN bus and power wiring harnesses connected to the bottom of the CSM.
Remove the Module
Unscrew the retaining fasteners holding the CSM or the specific shortcut button bar in place and remove the faulty unit.
Install New Module
Seat the replacement Cab Switch Module into the CommandARM and secure it with the fasteners.
Reconnect
Plug the wiring harnesses back into the new module, ensuring the locking tabs click into place.
Reassemble and Test
Snap the trim panels back into place. Reconnect the battery/master switch, power on the tractor, and clear the stored fault codes. Test the Diff Lock button to ensure it engages and disengages properly on the CommandCenter display.
