Check the cause

  1. Inspect the Diff Lock Auto On/Off button on the armrest for physical binding, dirt, dust, or sticky residue.

  2. Clean around the edges of the button using a plastic-safe electronic contact cleaner or a lightly damp cloth, and press repeatedly to ensure it springs back freely.

  3. Power cycle the tractor by turning the ignition OFF, waiting a few moments, and turning it back ON to allow the system to run a self-check.

  4. Check the CommandCenter display for any specific on-screen corrective prompts related to the CSM, and follow them before cycling the key.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Access the Module

Release the handle latches or mounting screws on the operator's armrest console to lift the hinged cover/bezel.

  3. Remove the CSM

Locate the Cab Switch Module. Remove the retaining screws holding the module to the console housing.

  4. Disconnect Wiring

Carefully unplug the wiring harness connectors from the bottom of the CSM.

  5. Install New Module

Plug the wiring harness into the replacement Cab Switch Module and seat it into the armrest console.

  6. Reassemble

Secure the module with the retaining screws and snap the console cover/bezel back into place.

  7. Test

Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and verify that the fault code is gone and the Diff Lock button operates correctly.
