John Deere 522563.02 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): Malfunction of the Work Light Option 1-2 Button

   Cycle the Ignition: Turn the ignition switch off and back on to see if the system resets the code.

   Button Reset: Press and release the affected work light button to attempt to restore the system manually.

   Physical Inspection: Inspect the button pad on the CommandARM for physical damage, sticking buttons, or debris lodged in the panel.

   Wiring Check: If the code persists, check the wiring harness and connectors leading to the Cab Switch Module for loose connections or corrosion.

   Disconnect battery

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove trim panels

   Remove the trim panels on the CommandARM/console to access the Cab Switch Module.

   Disconnect electrical harness

   Carefully disconnect the electrical harness connectors from the bottom/back of the CSM.

   Remove faulty CSM

   Remove the mounting screws securing the module to the armrest and extract the faulty CSM.

   Install new CSM

   Install the new Cab Switch Module and secure it with the mounting screws.

   Reconnect electrical harnesses

   Reconnect the electrical harnesses.

   Reconnect battery

   Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition.

   Test functionality

   Test the work light buttons to ensure the fault code is cleared and functionality is restored. (Note: Depending on the tractor's exact configuration, a new CSM may require calibration or programming via John Deere Service ADVISOR).
