John Deere 522564.04 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): ISOBUS (ISB) Button — Voltage Too Low
Issue description
This code indicates a short circuit to ground in the ISOBUS Shortcut Button (ISB) circuit. The ISB is a physical button on the tractor's armrest that sends a global "Stop All Implement Operations" signal. When triggered, the control software will limit or completely disable the ISB button's functionality.

Check the cause
Cycle power by turning the tractor off, waiting a few moments, and cycling the key switch to clear potential CSM initialization errors.
Physically inspect the ISB button on the CommandARM for damage, sticking, or debris keeping the contacts closed.
Inspect the wiring harness beneath the armrest console for pinched wires, chafing, or exposed copper touching the chassis ground.
Disconnect the CSM harness and use a multimeter to test the ISB button circuit for continuity to ground.
Repair steps
Prepare the Machine
Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.
Access the CSM
Carefully remove the trim panels on the CommandARM console to access the Cab Switch Module and its wiring connectors.
Isolate the Short
Disconnect the connector leading to the ISB button. Test the switch side and the harness side.
Repair Wiring (If Applicable)
If the multimeter shows a short to ground in the wiring harness, locate the chafed/pinched section and repair it using heat-shrink connectors, or replace the affected sub-harness.
Replace the Switch/Module
If the ISB button itself has failed internally (shorted), it must be replaced. Note: On many John Deere CommandARM setups, individual buttons are not serviced separately and require the replacement of the entire Cab Switch Module (CSM) board.
Reassembly and Calibration
Reconnect all harnesses, reinstall the CommandARM trim, and reconnect the battery. Turn the key on and verify via the CommandCenter display that the 522564.04 code has moved from "Active" to "Stored", then clear the code.
