Check the cause

  1. Press and release the SCV Lock Button to attempt a system self-recovery/reset

  2. Turn the tractor's ignition switch off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on to see if the code clears

  3. Check the SCV lock button on the CommandARM for physical sticking, dirt, or debris that might be holding the button down or preventing a clean contact

  4. Inspect the wiring harness connections beneath the CommandARM leading to the Cab Switch Module for loose pins, chafing, or corrosion

Repair steps

  1. Prepare machine

Park the machine on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Remove panels

Remove the retaining screws/panels on the CommandARM console to access the internal electronics.

  3. Locate CSM

Locate the Cab Switch Module (CSM) assembly where the SCV lock button is housed.

  4. Disconnect wiring

Carefully disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the CSM.

  5. Remove module

Remove the mounting hardware securing the CSM and extract the faulty module.

  6. Install new module

Install the new Cab Switch Module and secure it with the mounting hardware.

  7. Reconnect wiring

Reconnect the wiring harnesses, ensuring the connectors click securely into place.

  8. Reassemble console

    Reassemble the CommandARM console panels.

  9. Test and calibrate

Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and test the SCV lock button to ensure the fault code 522565.02 has cleared and the SCV levers lock/unlock properly. (Note: Depending on the tractor's software level, a new CSM may require a dealer to perform a software calibration/flash using John Deere Service Advisor).
