John Deere 522566.08 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): A button on the display control unit is stuck

The 4WD button on the armrest is physically or electronically stuck in the depressed position.

   Cycle the ignition off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on to see if the code clears (temporary glitch)

   Check the CommandCenter display for any specific on-screen corrective actions

   Inspect the 4WD button and surrounding armrest buttons for physical binding, dirt, spilled liquids, or debris

   Power Down

   Turn off the machine and remove the key to prevent electrical shorts.

   Clean the Module

   Use compressed air and a plastic safe electronic contact cleaner (or isopropyl alcohol) to clean around the edges of the 4WD button and the rest of the armrest switch module. Gently press the button repeatedly to free up any mechanical binding.

   Test

   Turn the machine back on. If the button springs back normally and the code clears, the issue was mechanical binding due to debris.

   Replace the Module

   If the code persists after cycling the power and cleaning the assembly, or if the button is physically broken internally, the Cab Switch Module (or the specific armrest switch module section) has failed and must be replaced.
