John Deere 522571.02 – CSM: Armrest Navigation Bar Fault

   Press and release the affected button (Button 14 on the navigation bar) to attempt a soft recovery of the system.

   Turn the ignition switch OFF, wait, and turn it back ON to see if the module resets.

   Check if the code remains active after cycling the ignition, which indicates a hard failure within the switch circuit requiring module replacement.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the machine's battery power.

   Access console

   Access the armrest control console.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the wiring harness to the Armrest Navigation Bar Module (identified in John Deere electrical schematics as component A048).

   Remove module

   Remove the mounting hardware securing the Cab Switch Module (CSM) / Armrest Switch Module.

   Install replacement

   Install the replacement module and reconnect the harness.

   Reconnect battery

   Reconnect battery power and turn the ignition ON.

7. 7

   Clear codes and test

   Clear the stored fault codes and test the navigation bar buttons to ensure the CSM is communicating properly on the CAN bus. (Note: Depending on the tractor's software level, a new CSM may require calibration or payload configuration via John Deere Service ADVISOR).
