John Deere 522572.02 – Cab Switch Module (CSM): Armrest Navigation Bar Fault

   Cycle Button 11 on the armrest navigation bar by pressing and releasing it to see if the system recovers the circuit

   Perform a power cycle by turning the ignition switch off, waiting for the system to power down completely, and turning it back on

   If the code remains active after cycling the ignition and the button, verify if it is a hard failure (likely a failed microswitch in the navigation bar or a wiring issue between the navigation bar and the CSM)

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Inspect Wiring

   Check the wiring harness connecting the A048 Armrest Navigation Bar Module to the main Cab Switch Module (CSM) for any pinches, chafing, or loose connector pins.

   Remove the Armrest Console Cover

   Carefully pry or unscrew the upper trim of the armrest console to access the navigation bar and CSM modules.

   Replace the Faulty Component

   If the wiring is intact, the failure is internal to the button/module. Disconnect the A048 Armrest Navigation Bar Module or the main CSM (depending on which is diagnosed as the point of failure) and swap in the replacement part.

   Reassemble and Calibrate

   Reconnect the harnesses, reinstall the armrest trim, reconnect the battery, and power on the tractor. Verify that the CSM successfully boots up and the 522572.02 code is stored/inactive.
