John Deere 522573.02 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): Armrest Navigation Bar Fault

   Press and release the affected button (Button 12 on the navigation bar) to attempt a system recovery/reset

   Turn the ignition switch OFF, wait for the system to power down completely, and turn it back ON to see if the fault clears

   Inspect the Armrest Navigation Bar Module extension harness (W577) and its connectors for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose pins

   Safety First

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to ensure electrical safety.

   Physical Inspection

   Inspect the CommandARM navigation bar and Button 12 for physical damage, liquid intrusion, or a mechanically stuck button.

   Access the Module

   Carefully remove the necessary trim panels on the CommandARM to access the internal wiring and the Armrest Navigation Bar Module.

   Circuit Testing

   Disconnect the Armrest Navigation Bar Module harness (W577). Test for continuity and proper voltage between the navigation bar and the CSM according to the OEM wiring diagram.

   Component Replacement

   If the wiring is intact and the button is confirmed to be internally shorted or unresponsive, the Armrest Navigation Bar Module or the Cab Switch Module (CSM) itself is defective and must be replaced.

   Reassembly and Calibration

   Reassemble the CommandARM, reconnect the battery, and power on the tractor. Note that replacing the CSM may require software calibration or programming via John Deere Service Advisor to pair it with the tractor's CAN bus system.
