John Deere 522575.02 – CSM (Cab Switch Module): Armrest Navigation Bar Fault

Issue description

Fault in the circuit of button 10 on the navigation bar, indicating erratic, intermittent, or incorrect data usually caused by a physically stuck button, short, or internal electrical failure.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the shortcut buttons on the navigation bar (under the screen) for physical sticking, dirt, or debris.

  2. Press and release the affected button (Button 10) to attempt to unstick the contact and recover the system.

  3. Turn off the tractor key switch, wait for the display screen to go completely black, and turn it back on to see if the fault clears.

  4. Perform a hard reset of the CommandCenter by holding down the Next Run Page button and the button below it (no icon) simultaneously for five seconds.

  5. Check the wiring harness and connector going to the A048 Armrest Navigation Bar Module for loose connections, moisture intrusion, or damaged pins.

Repair steps

  1. Prepare machine

    Park the machine on a level surface, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Remove trim

    Remove the plastic trim/bezel surrounding the CommandCenter display and the navigation bar on the CommandARM.

  3. Disconnect harness

    Unplug the electrical harness connector routed to the back of the navigation bar module.

  4. Remove screws

    Remove the retaining screws securing the A048 Armrest Navigation Bar Module to the CommandARM console.

  5. Replace module

    Extract the faulty module and install the replacement unit.

  6. Reinstall hardware

    Reinstall the retaining screws and reconnect the electrical harness.

  7. Reinstall trim

    Snap the trim/bezel back into place.

  8. Verify repair

    Reconnect the battery, turn the key switch on, and verify that the 522575.02 fault code has moved to a 'stored' state or cleared entirely.
