Check the cause
Test switch positions (ON, OFF/Brake Assist, AUTO) using a multimeter or diagnostic tool to verify the MFWD switch signal circuit.
Inspect the 6-pin connector (Connector X75) at the back of the switch for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture.
Check the wiring harness for continuity between the MFWD switch connector and the CCU to rule out broken wires or chafed harness shorts.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable.
Access the Switch
Locate the MFWD switch on the right-hand control console or dash panel.
Remove the Switch
Carefully pry the retaining clips of the rocker/toggle switch to pop it out of the console panel.
Disconnect
Unplug the 6-pin electrical connector from the rear of the switch.
Replace
Connect the 6-pin plug to the new OEM MFWD switch. Ensure the connector clicks securely into place.
Reinstall
Snap the new switch back into the console cutout.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and use your diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard display to clear the CCU 522580.19 fault code.
Verify Operation
Test the MFWD engagement in OFF, ON, and AUTO modes to ensure the repair is successful.
