Check the cause

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the multi-function lever and the AIC/CSM module. Look for pinched wires, chafing, loose connections, or corrosion.

  3. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage in the sensor circuit. You are looking for an open circuit or a short to a 12-volt source.

  4. Verify that the 5V reference/power supply to the sensor circuit from the module is functioning correctly and not being overridden by a 12V short.

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

    Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.

  2. Access the Armrest

    Carefully remove the trim panels on the CommandARM™ console to access the wiring harness for the multi-function lever.

  3. Repair Wiring

    If the diagnostic checks revealed a short to 12V or a broken/open wire in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wiring or replace the affected connector pin. Secure and clean all connections to ensure proper electrical contact.

  4. Replace the Lever

    If the wiring tests perfectly but the voltage remains out of range, the internal trigger sensor on the joystick has failed. Unplug the lever's harness, unbolt the lever from the armrest console, and install the replacement multi-function lever.

  5. Reassemble and Test

    Reinstall the armrest trim, reconnect the battery, and turn the key on. Clear the stored CSM/AIC 523343.03 fault code.

  6. System Reset

    Conduct operational tests to ensure the sensor voltage is now within the acceptable range and that the single lever control functions (such as SCV controls) are fully restored.
