John Deere 523349.04 – Armrest Interface Control Unit (AIC): AutoTrac™ Resume Switch Voltage Fault (Voltage Too Low)

The system has detected that the voltage at the AutoTrac resume switch input has dropped below 0.50 volts. This typically indicates an open circuit, a short to ground, or a physically stuck/damaged switch. When this code is active, the control unit restricts or completely disables the AutoTrac resume switch to prevent incorrect operations.

   Visually inspect the AutoTrac Resume Switch on the armrest for any signs of physical damage, wear, or debris that might cause the button to stick in the pressed position.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the AutoTrac switch and the AIC module for pinched wires, chafing, or loose connections that could cause an open circuit or short to ground.

   Perform a continuity test using a multimeter to ensure the switch contacts are properly opening and closing when pressed and released.

   Attempt System Recovery

   Manually set the AutoTrac resume switch to the un-pressed (released) position.

   Power Cycle

   If the code does not clear after releasing the switch, turn off the tractor's ignition, wait a few moments, and restart the engine to attempt a vehicle recovery/module reset.

   Test/Repair Wiring

   If the code persists, test the circuit for 12-volt supply and ground integrity. Repair any shorts or breaks in the harness.

   Replace the Switch

   If the wiring is intact but the switch fails continuity testing or is physically broken/stuck, replace the AutoTrac Resume Switch.
