523349.11

John Deere 523349.11 – AIC (Armrest Interface Control Unit): AutoTrac™ Resume Switch Stuck Fault

Issue description

The system detects that the signal from the Auto Steer (AutoTrac) button on the LIN BUS line is continuously active, meaning the switch is either physically jammed, held down for an excessive amount of time, or has failed internally in the closed position. This results in limited or no AutoTrac functionality.

Applies to these machines

  • 6110R
  • 6120R
  • 6130R
  • 6145R
  • 6155R
  • 6175R

  • 5R Series
  • 6R Series

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the AutoTrac resume switch on the CommandARM or side console to see if the button is physically stuck in the depressed position.

  2. Ensure there is no dirt, spilled liquid, or debris wedged around the edges of the rocker switch that might be holding it down.

  3. Manually set the switch to the un-pressed (neutral) position and cycle the tractor's ignition power (turn key off, wait, turn back on) to attempt a system recovery.

Repair steps

  1. Attempt Recovery

Manually pull or set the switch back to the un-pressed position and cycle the tractor's power.

  2. Test the Switch

If the code returns immediately after a power cycle and the button is not physically jammed, the switch has likely failed internally (shorted closed).

  3. Access the Switch

Carefully pry up or remove the switch panel/bezel on the CommandARM console to access the rear of the AutoTrac resume switch.

  4. Inspect Wiring

Check the wiring pigtail and connector plugging into the switch. Ensure there are no pinched wires or shorts in the LIN BUS harness leading to the AIC module.

  5. Replace the Switch

If the wiring is intact, disconnect the faulty switch, snap the new OEM momentary rocker switch into the console punchout, and reconnect the harness.

  6. Clear Codes

Turn the tractor on and verify that the AIC 523349.11 code has moved to a "stored" state or cleared, and test the AutoTrac engagement.
