John Deere 523745.02 – AIC (Armrest Interface Control Unit): iTEC™ Program Selection Switch Logic Fault
Issue description
The system has detected incorrect switch logic at the switch used for iTEC™ (Intelligent Total Equipment Control / Headland Management) program selection (specifically sequences 1 and 2). As a safety and operational reaction, the control software will limit or completely disable the functionality of the iTEC™ program selection switch.

Check the cause
Examine the iTEC™ Program Selection Switch on the armrest for physical signs of damage, debris, or wear. Ensure that the button moves freely and does not stick in any depressed position.
Utilize John Deere Service ADVISOR™ or a multimeter to test the electrical pathways and connections associated with the switch. Check for shorts, open circuits, or voltage irregularities that could explain the incorrect logic behavior.
Turn the tractor's ignition off and back on to see if the logic fault clears, as it may be a temporary software glitch.
Repair steps
Isolate the Fault
Based on the electrical test, determine if the fault lies within the wiring harness or the switch module itself.
Repair/Replace
If the wiring is damaged, repair the harness. If the switch mechanism is faulty or internally shorted, replace the iTEC™ switch module or the affected armrest control module.
Verify Functionality
After replacing the component, turn on the tractor and conduct tests to ensure the switch correctly activates the intended iTEC™ sequences (1 and 2) without throwing logic errors.
System Reset
Reset the AIC control system to clear any stored inactive faults and perform comprehensive testing to confirm the iTEC™ system is fully operational.
