John Deere 523745.03 – AIC (Armrest Interface Control Unit): High Voltage Fault in the iTEC™ Program Selection Switch
Issue description
The system has detected that the voltage of the switch for the iTEC (Intelligent Total Equipment Control / Headland Management) program selection is excessively high. This typically points to a faulty switch or a short circuit to a high voltage source within the switch's electrical circuitry. As a safety and protection measure, the control software will limit or completely disable the functionality of the iTEC switch when this code is active.

Check the cause
Power cycle the tractor's ignition off and back on to see if the fault is a temporary glitch that clears upon a system reboot.
Inspect the iTEC program selection switch on the armrest to ensure it moves freely, springs back to its neutral position, and is not physically stuck or jammed.
Utilize a multimeter and diagnostic tools to test the electrical pathways and connections associated with the switch. Check for a short circuit to a high voltage source in the wiring harness leading to the AIC module.
Visually inspect the armrest and cab wiring harnesses for chafing, pinched wires, or damaged connectors that could cause a short.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Disconnect the tractor's battery before performing electrical repairs on the armrest console.
Repair Wiring
If the diagnostic tests reveal a short circuit in the wiring harness, repair or replace the damaged section of the harness.
Replace the Switch/Module
If the wiring is intact but the switch is internally shorted or outputting incorrect voltage logic, replace the iTEC switch, the armrest switch matrix, or the control module as dictated by the specific tractor's armrest configuration.
Reassemble and Reconnect
Secure all wiring and reassemble the armrest console. Reconnect the battery.
System Reset and Verification
Reset the control system to clear the 523745.03 error code and restore default settings. Perform a comprehensive operational test of the iTEC system to confirm the switch is fully functional and no longer exhibits high voltage readings.
